It poured so hard I could hardly see on the drive up — and all of a sudden it just stopped out of nowhere  and left behind a beautiful blue sky. Everything still looked amazing when I pulled in, and we met up and headed out to the gardens to shoot — and it started pouring. Hard. On the plus side, we now had plenty of time to get to know each other better. Tom and Melissa had just met when she mentioned that she’d bought Twilight on DVD and was really excited to watch it. (I’d give him a hard time about it, except that shortly after Stephanie and I met I volunteered to watch Pride and Prejudice with her. I even went to the library and got the book so I could read up beforehand and impress her.)

Forty five minutes later, we had the weather on our side. Here’s a little something we threw together.

We’d originally planned to get together last weekend and had to cancel because of rain — this week, it managed to hold off until the second we finished, and then poured in typical Miami style.We started shooting over the water on the intercoastal while they told me the story of how they met and shared how excited they are for their killer wedding at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach next year. We took off across the street to the Aventura Marina, and because Arie’s a lifelong tennis player (he’s competed in The Maccabiah Games), we made sure to spend some time on the tennis courts before the rain came down. Natalie and Arie, you’re such a cool couple, and I wish you the best — I’m really excited for you guys!
