Me!

When people ask me to be in their photos, I usually tell them that I became a photographer so that I could hang out on the other side of the camera. Pictures of me rarely go well. I do the awkward smiles. I don’t know where to put my hands. I find myself in poses that I didn’t realize the human body was capable of. In what felt like an out of body experience, I asked (voluntarily, even!) my all-around awesome photographer friend Catalina Ayubi to shoot a few portraits of me for my website at the Deering Estate in Miami. And she flat out nailed it. Maybe being on the front-end of the camera every once in a while isn’t such a bad thing after all!
