Kristian and Danielle are such amazing, fun, down to earth people. I woke up early on Saturday morning psyched to shoot their engagement session, and my morning just kept getting better and better — it was fifty two degrees in Fort Lauderdale! I threw on a sweater, grabbed a cup of coffee, and listened to Songs for Christmas by Sufjan Stevens on the drive up to CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
After a few minutes of shooting, we took a detour to Sloan’s Ice Cream Parlor, where they grabbed an amazing chocolate sundae while I practiced lactose intolerance induced restraint. It’s got the coolest (possibly the only cool) bathroom I’ve ever seen. The wall that joins it to the rest of the shop is glass that turns frosted when you lock the door, which ensures that there are plenty of “lock the door, otherwise we’re gonna see you” signs all over the place.
I’m crazy excited to have gotten to know such great people, and I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Jacaranda Country Club in March!
