Shortly after buying my first camera, I decided that I was going to be a war photographer. I wanted to take the picture -- to capture a moment that would change the world for the better. Something that really, truly mattered.

I shot my first wedding as a favor when the photographer cancelled at the last minute -- and instantly knew that I’d found what I was meant to do with my life. I was doing so much more than taking pictures. I was helping people share the most important moments of their lives with others. Something that really, truly mattered. I was telling their stories.

I’m basically a professional model

My crazy cool photographer friend Catalina Ayubi just blogged photos from our portrait shoot at The Deering Estate. I wanted new photos of myself for the site (because the cobbler’s kids never have any shoes) and she proceeded to melt my face off with awesomeness. Or maybe it was the choking 90 degree summer heat.
