Shortly after buying my first camera, I decided that I was going to be a war photographer. I wanted to take the picture -- to capture a moment that would change the world for the better. Something that really, truly mattered.

I shot my first wedding as a favor when the photographer cancelled at the last minute -- and instantly knew that I’d found what I was meant to do with my life. I was doing so much more than taking pictures. I was helping people share the most important moments of their lives with others. Something that really, truly mattered. I was telling their stories.

Phil & Jenny’s Engagement

A few months ago at Robby and Tiara’s wedding, I shot a photo of our friends Phil and Jenny walking through the woods. Two weeks later, they got engaged. Hypothesis? I am the reason they’re getting married.

We got together this past week and shot their engagement session in Historic downtown Ft. Lauderdale at the New River Inn (the oldest building in Ft. Lauderdale) where their wedding reception will be held this coming January. After that, we stopped by BREW Urban Cafe to get our caffeine fix and then caught the sun going down over the water at Riverfront. They’re such a cool couple, and I’m crazy excited to shoot their wedding come January!
