Wedding Photography | Miami & Fort Lauderdale | Daniel Lateulade bio picture

Shortly after buying my first camera, I decided that I was going to be a war photographer. I wanted to take the picture -- to capture a moment that would change the world for the better. Something that really, truly mattered.

I shot my first wedding as a favor when the photographer cancelled at the last minute -- and instantly knew that I’d found what I was meant to do with my life. I was doing so much more than taking pictures. I was helping people share the most important moments of their lives with others. Something that really, truly mattered. I was telling their stories.

I’d love to tell yours.

My new Canon 1D

I took a walk down Las Olas Blvd here in downtown Ft. Lauderdale this afternoon with my new Canon 1D. Just passing along some of the goodness.

Me!

When people ask me to be in their photos, I usually tell them that I became a photographer so that I could hang out on the other side of the camera. Pictures of me rarely go well. I do the awkward smiles. I don’t know where to put my hands. I find myself in poses that I didn’t realize the human body was capable of.

In what felt like an out of body experience, I asked (voluntarily, even!) my all-around awesome photographer friend Catalina Ayubi to shoot a few portraits of me for my website at the Deering Estate in Miami. And she flat out nailed it.

The end.

Robby & Tiara’s Wedding

Robby’s family owns an amazing lake home in Columbus, GA, where the wedding was held. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I got to experience all kinds of great times, including:

1) Hanging out with their family and friends and cute new puppy, Mr. Baba Ganoush.

2) Sleeping in crazy cool cabins and tents with said friends.

3) Having our fishing boat’s motor die in the middle of the lake during a lightning storm.

4) Taking epic pictures. Enjoy!

Robby & Tiara’s Wedding Preview

Just got back from Robby & Tiara’s wedding in Columbus, GA — I’d been looking forward to shooting it ever since doing their engagement session in February, and it was even cooler than I’d expected! I’ve spent the past few days going through thousands of photos, and can’t wait to get a full blog post up…but in the meantime, here you go!
